A beautiful day on campus with a picture of Kemper’s main exit with a blue jay sitting right in the middle.

Well, I had a movie in Japanese literature class today. Fires on the Plain. It was not half bad, except my focus was split on doing my chemical kinetics homework in the dark while watching a movie in a language that requires me to read the subtitles. So in the end, I got most of the movie and a small portion of my homework done. After that, I went to a Mentor/Mentee event where I played Taboo and Cranium with friends and club members. Nothing really interested happened today. However, I did see a bunch of rice rockets parked in the SaveMart parking lot… I wonder what they were up to?

On the side note, I did recall an interesting dream when I woke up. Apparently, I was in a pepper jack cheese cube eating contest and competing against a bunch of farmers… For some reason, I decided to spike my milk with pepper jack… I have no idea what happened… :S

On another side note, the advertisement on Hulu has gotten really intrusive…

Gaming. Honestly, I never thought I would become a fan of FPS due to the fact that I always get motion sickness when playing Halo 3 with my friends on the Xbox. I have never really had a high end video card since I wasn’t much of a gamer. However, when I decided to get a new video card so that I can use dual monitors in May 2009, I figured that I would try some video card intensive games so that my high end video card wouldn’t go to waste. After playing Fallout 3, I learned that playing FPS games on the computer is not as jerky as it is on a console, so I didn’t have as much of a problem with motion sickness. Anyway, below are a list of games I played and a list of games I plan on playing. Does anyone have suggestions?

Games I have played: (In chronological order)

  • Fallout 3
  • Mass Effect
  • Crysis
  • Resident Evil 5
  • Batman – Arkham Asylum [Did not complete] – This was when I found out that I wasn’t too fond of stealth/melee games.
  • Borderlands
  • Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2
  • Gears of War
  • Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare
  • Mass Effect 2

To play:

  • Half Life 2
  • Oblivion

Constantly maintained pool.

Not so constantly maintained  pool.

Swimming in the rain and cold is fun, except for that 30 seconds when you get out of the pool and hurry into the locker room. On Monday/Wednesday/Fridays, I like to swim laps in the evening since it is pretty much my main form of exercise. I honestly think that swimming is underrated. When you swim, all parts of your body are in use and is believed that it is one of the best, if not the best, forms of aerobic exercise. So… What are you waiting for? Go swimming!
